a couple of the ever present, ever hungry ducks in lowndes park, chesham
if the ducks were sailboats and the wind was blowing left to right the top duck would be bearing down in the favored position ready to yell "starboard" and relishing the attack, but the other duck, who seems calm at this point, yells back "hold your course" and bow of the top duck just passes the stern of the other duck, but the other duck now tacks to "cover," this scenario, of course, only occurs if ducks could talk and fancied games of sail boat racing, both high probabilities in David and Sue's (photoblog) world

... and at exactly that moment the brown duck started to fire the cannons he was hiding under his feathers.

They'll be happy to eat your camera or anything else you toss into the water. Ducks make me a little nervous due to how quickly they can turn a backyard swimming pool into their own private resort; they're nearly as bad as rats. Only better looking. I do like pretty orange autumn leaves, though :)

You truly captured some lovely colors in this shot. The floating leaves really made this image special!

What beautiful colors they're swimming with. Who can resist watching ducks?

Lovely David, the ducks look good against the beech leaves.

Love the colours of the leaves and the placing of the ducks.

They match the leaves beautifully, don't they? They're so pretty that they remind me of those lovely painted wooden decoy ducks. Very nicely framed, too.
